Today is a very sad day in the Connolly home. We had to say goodbye to our big fur baby, Fletch. He hasn't been well for a little while; we took him to the vet on Saturday and found out that he likely had a large cancerous growth on his stomach. He hadn't been eating, or drinking much and had become very lethargic. We decided on Saturday that the best thing to do was to put him down. It was not an easy decision to make ... Fletch came home as a puppy in August 2000. It was in November that year that Peter & I started seeing each other; since that time Fletch has been a big part of our family and for the first 5 years of our marriage, he was our baby.
It seems that we are starting a new chapter now, with our real baby and a new one on the way. Regardless of that, we will never ever forget Fletch and all the great memories we have of him.

Bob and I are very sad for your family that you have had to say good-bye to Fletch. He has been front and centre in every photo since you've been married, plus across the ocean and back.My favorite memory will always be that little video of Ainsley pulling herself up on Fletch with the head lifted high. Losing a pet is very hard, and we are so sorry for your loss.
